Description

I am a single mom to two boys ages 7 and 5. I am a registered nurse who works at the local hospital. We have a pug named Pudgie, 2 hermit crabs, and a fish! My house is located in the countryside, in a small wooded development. It boasts a beautiful front porch with 4 comfy white rocking chairs to lounge in, a deck in the rear of the house with seating, and a Vermont Castings gas grill to cook with! I have a play area for the kids in the basement which has toys and playstation, and the basement also houses the washer and dryer. You are welcome full access to my 2005 Ford escape, which is in pristine working condition. I must admit I am a bit of a neat freak so my house is very clean. The kitchen and dining room has hardwood floors, and the counter tops are corian. All appliances are Maytag, only 3 years old. The master bedroom is located upstairs, and has a king size bed with full private bath. The other 2 bedrooms are located just off the master and each has a twin bed, with a full bath to share. Each bathroom has beautiful custom tile, including the guest bathroom downstairs. I hope you will find my house very comfortable and accomodating!

Neighborhood

My neighborhood is in a perfect location, the neighbors are lovely, and its close to Mount Snow Ski resort which offers a variety of activities including Snowshoeing, sleigh rides, guided snowmobile tours, and fall foilage tours just to name a few! The town of Brattleboro is a 10 minute drive away, has quaint little shops on Main st. which offers a variety of unique items. Brattleboro also has places where you can rent kayaks and canoes, to explore the Conneticut river! Vermont is famous for its maple syrup, and there are lots of farms around that do tours.

About Us

I am a registered nurse, and I work at the local hospital in Brattleboro. My two boys are Lucas, 7 and Liam, 5. We have a pug named Pudgie, two hermit crabs and a fish. My husband, who was a Vermont state trooper, died a little over a year ago from Leukemia at the age of 32. We are all doing great, considering the circumstances, and I figured house swapping was a great idea, one, it provides an oppurtunity for my kids to explore another area of the world, and two, it cuts costs down, considering the cost of hotels and airfare!

Destination

I really don't have a specific area or region in mind, just want to explore different areas of the world. I am pretty flexible on dates, and lengths of stay.
