Description

We live in a lovely, quiet suburb about 40 minutes from Boston by car (easily accessibly by train), about 1 hour 15 minutes from Cape Cod and about 1 hour and 15 minutes from New Hampshire. Our home is very comfortable, with large bedrooms, and a deck with a grill overlooking lawn space and trees. The town has a lake which is about a 7 minute drive and would be available for your use.

The bedrooms have window airconditioners.

Neighborhood

We have raised our 2 boys in this family neighborhood and enjoy walking, running, and biking nearby. Our town center is typical New England - with a row of local shops, including antique and craft stores, a church and a town green.

For those who want to travel further, we are about a 4 hour drive from New York City, 1 1/2 hours from the Berkshires and Tanglewood (Summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra) and 2 - 3 hours from the Vermont mountains and the Maine coastline.

About Us

I am a senior level manager in a non-profit organization based in Boston and therefore travel widely. My husband is a high school teacher.

Destination

We have planned a trip to Australia and want to spend a week in Cairns or nearby. Our home would be available for 2 weeks plus - from June 22, 2008 to July 7, 2008. We would like to be near the beach rather than in the city, no more than about 20 miles from Cairns.
