Description

Our private, comfortable bungalow is in a rural setting, backing on farmers' fields and woodland on a treed lot. We have a well-equipped kitchen and fitness training equipment. We have an extensive C.D. and V.C.R. collection. Take our fishing and camping equipment (everything you need), to the local lakes or nearby Canadian north. Our neighbours are friendly and available for information and help, if required. We have Telephone, Stereo / hifi, Central heating, TV's / cable.

Neighborhood

Our lot has rural homes on either side, with wide open spaces of farmland and woodlots on rolling terrain. Three lakes (several minutes drive), border our immediate area in this, the Kawartha Lakes District, home to pickerel, muskie and bass; visit www.thekawarthas.net Peterborough, pop. 70,000, is a fifteen minute drive. Visit www.city.peterborough.on.ca We are 1.5 hours drive to Canada's largest city, Toronto and its world-class museums, theaters, galleries, international fine dining, hockey, baseball, football etc. Visit; www.discovertoronto.ca and www.torontotourism.com It is several hours drive to our nation's capital, Ottawa or to Niagara Falls. A multi-cultural adventure awaits you via a road trip to Montreal, Quebec and the northeast U.S.A. The edge of the Canadian Shield lies five minutes up the road. Here you will find the beginning of Canada's rugged northland with its rocky outcrops, crystal waterways, forests and wildlife; nature in all its glory. Opportunities abound for those interested in camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, observation and photography of wildlife or simply a beautiful drive. About Us

We are a retired couple in our early sixties. Dale is a former civil servant and I, Mike, am a retired secondary school teacher. We are casual, non-smokers, respectful of others' property and travel without children or pets. We expect the same of visitors to our home. We have had successful exchanges.
