Description

Our family house is 15 min away from the historical center of this ancient historically important town and former royal residence. Esp. pleasant in summer months between June and September. Ideal temperature. Seaside is 40 min by car and Podgorica, which is administrative and shopping center is 35 min by car.

Neighborhood

The town is so small with population of some 16000 that you do not need public transportation. The historical core is surrounded by hills, valleys, short sightseeing tours around these areas rich with vegetation can fill up your day and make you enjoy just breething the smell of linden trees. Surrounding houses are all family houses with small gardens and it is very easy to find your way around and meet both young and elderly people to have plesant conversation.

About Us

I am 43 and my husband is 50. We speak English and our two boys age 14 and 13 speak a little but understand perfectly the German language. I work in the National Library, my husband is engaged in trade and also runs a vineyard in a nearby village. Kids go to school and their wish is to improve their German and learn about the culture and way of life and of course to make friends with kids of similar age living in Germany.

Destination

This should be a simultaneous exchange. There is also a possibility for those who wish to spend some time isolated in a village 15 min drive from Cetinje, almost deserted, to enjoy unspoiled nature to use our village house (living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom) some time or all the time during their stay in Montenegro.
