Our home is a large (250 sq. m./ 2600 sq. ft.), three-bedroom house in a beautiful Montreal graystone built in 1900.
Completely restored in the mid-nineties, it has kept many original features, such as its old pine wooden floors, its structural brick walls, and its old wood staircase. High ceilings with original moldings make it even more inviting. The house has a balcony in the front, and a quiet enclosed terrace on the second floor in the back of the house. The terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast or an evening drink.
Our house accommodates 6-7 people very comfortably. And is located on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of Montreal's trendy Plateau Mont-Royal district.

Construite en 1900, notre maison de 250 mètres carrés a été entièrement restaurée, mais a gardé son cachet d'antan dont ses planchers en pin d'origine, murs de briques intérieurs, vieil escalier de bois, plafonds hauts et moulures.
Sa façade de pierre grise est typiquement montréalaise. Attenante à la maison nous avons une terrasse de 30 mètres carrés, véritable jardin urbain où il fait bon prendre le petit déjeuner et veiller tard le soir, à l'abri d'un énorme érable.
Notre maison comprend 3 chambres à coucher et est située sur une rue tranquille bordée d'arbres sur le Plateau Mont-Royal, en plein coeur de Montréal. Elle peut recevoir confortablement 6 à 7 personnes (en demi sous-sol nous avons de plus un studio avec salle de bain complète).
Neighborhood
Ignored not so long ago, Le Plateau located in downtown Montreal is a très hip multi-ethnic district designated the most en vogue neighborhood of North America by Wallpaper magazine. Originally a working class district, le Plateau has grown to be a favorite home for local artists, students, professionals, and young families.
Our home is extremely well located - you will only need a car for day trips outside the city!

About Us
We are two professionals. Tony is a software entrepreneur. Anne Marie recently started a translation business. We have two small boys, an 8 and a 6 year old.
We are experienced home exchangers and have completed several home exchanges.
We are fluent in English and French and can also communicate in Italian (spoken).
Nous sommes Tony et Anne Marie, tous deux professionnels (entrepreneur informatique et traductrice) et avons deux enfants, Tomas et Nicolas, 8 et 6 ans.
Nous parlons et écrivons en français et en anglais et pouvons également converser en italien.
Destination
We're looking for a 1 year long-term home exchange. We're open to the destination but have a preference for Italy. We could consider other countries in Southern Europe (France, Spain, Portugal, Greece) as well as The Caribbean.
We would also consider offering our own house for rent and renting a house for that period in any of the destinations specified. Our preference would be for a house with three bedrooms in an interesting region, with a swimming pool or a comfortable apartment with the same number of bedrooms in an urban setting.
The dates? If we can work it out, we'd like to try for August 2008 through August 2009. It can be for 10-12 months. It needs to be for the entire school year.
