Description

Our Rancher style detached home, which is only one year old, is located in the City of Chilliwack in a gated community with a private nicely landscaped Patio & garden. The house is a single level and handicap accessible, with a large Great room Kitchen area along with 2 bedroom's, 2 bathrooms and a separate den & laundry room with washer & dryer. The Great room & dining area are open to the kitchen area & separated with a bar c/w stools used for entertaining, eating etc.There is a fireplace along with all new modern stainless appliances.Off the Great room is a large covered outdoor patio which is ideal for barbecues & general enjoyment furnished with wicker furniture. We have a computer with network access for easy emails home. The furnishings are very nice throughout with three satellite T.V's & a piano.The Master suite has a queen sized bed and an attached large ensuite bathroom with a large shower & soaker tub. The second bedroom has a sofa bed with a bathroom beside it which includes a shower. The separate den has a TV and is a nice spot for reading a book. This is a very quiet area which is considered a 'bedroom' community for the Greater Vancouver area with many people commuting on a daily basis. Our neighbours are very friendly & would no doubt be helpful if needed.

Neighborhood

We live in the very scenic Fraser Valley surrounded by the Cascade Mountains which offer spectacular scenery. We are in suburbia yet surrounded by farms & nature. We are 5 minutes from the main freeway which takes you directly to Vancouver to the west in approximately 1 hour or the beautiful Okanagan to the east in approximately 3 hours. Chilliwack offers all your shopping needs without the busy city yet within an easy commute to anywhere in the Greater Vancouver area. We are also within a 1/2 hour drive to the USA border which offers many daytrip opportunities for shopping at the discount malls near Seattle Washington. There are several recreational areas with Cultus Lake & Harrison Hot Springs less than 1/2 hours drive or take a long walk along the river with 10 km of trails. River & Lake fishing are in the immediate area as well as river rafting on the Chilliwack river which is a fun way to spend a day. This is an ideal centrally located spot to explore Beautiful British Columbia the best spot in Canada & one of the very sought after tourist areas in the world!

About Us

We are newly retired, both having worked in managerial positions previously. We have two grown children along with five grandchildren. Not to forget our 13 year old Bichon Frise who is a very spoiled member of the family and stays with our daughter while we are travelling. We love to travel & have been on many cruises with destinations all over the world enjoying all cultures. As well we have a motorhome & enjoy that mode of travel throughout Canada & USA.

Destination

We would prefer the UK as our number 1 destination but would be open to all other countries. The dates are flexible.
