Description
Welcome to our little haven on earth! Pull up a rocker and sip ice tea on our traditional wrap around porch. No matter where you look, you can't help but enjoy the exquiste mountain views and amazing sunsets. The pheasants call out, while hawks sore above.
Horses graze in our pasture, while the kiddies jump on the trampoline and play on the swingset.
Cuddle up next to the beautiful stone (gas) fireplace in our large family room with soaring 26 ft ceilings or go upstairs for a game of "mini pool" in the loft. Or perhaps you would enjoy reading in our formal living room.
Take the bikes out on a leisurely ride down the road or take them to Antelope Island, in the middle of The Great Salt Lake for a more challenging ride. (Two adult bikes, one child size & a trailor to fit two small children.)
After you put the baby to bed in the comfy decorated nursery, equipped with crib and changing table, enjoy some quiet time by yourself or as a couple in the oversized jetted tub, full of artesian mineral packed, well water.
Then pull the covers up and enjoy the comfort of a lush king size pillowtop matteress in the elegantly decorated master bedroom. Also, available is a queen size bed in a private room. A single size bed in my son's "Clifford the Red Big Dog" room and a queen size pull out bed in the family. There are two more vacant bedrooms without beds. The home was built in 2002 and is tastefully decorated and furnished. Come enjoy our sizzling hot summers or plan on skiing down the nearby slopes durring our winter wonderland!
Neighborhood
A five minute stroll down the road will take you to a delicious bakery and chocolate shop, as well as a yummy mexican restraunt, an "All American" 50's style burger joint, a gym, hair salon and some novelty shops.
A two minute drive will take you to grocery shops, fast food restraunts and convenient stores. A 15 minute drive will have you in downtown Ogden which has just opened up the new "Salamon Center", equipped with surf pool, rock climbing, wind tunnel, bowling, arcade and much more. In the new future high end shopping will be available at "The Junction", which is now being built. In the meantime, we still have many nice shops.
Salt Lake City, a must see, is only a 45 minute drive away and boasts anything any large city does and also has the amazing, Temple Square, built by the LDS/Mormon church.
Fifteen minutes will have you in Huntsville, a top skiing town. In summer Huntsville is great for boating and skiing, as well as scenic drives and mountain adventures.
We have camping gear and most things "outdoorsy". We have an ATV that MIGHT be available for us. (I have to check on the insurance coverage.)
This is truly prime location with a large city one direction and the mountains and rural farmlands in the other!
About Us
We are a young outdoorsy family, who just loves having fun. I am a stay at home mom and my husband is a manager at our local Toyota store. We have two boys age, 4 & a baby.
We are respectable, kind and responsible. We will treat your home with much care, in hopes you will do the same for us. :)
Destination
We want to go anywhere new!!! Tempt us!
I have family in England and would be especially interested in a place in England, located somewhere in Lincolnshire, Cornwall, Devon or Lancashire, but all locations would be considered.
I desperately want to go to Prince Edward Island!
My husband is anxious to go to a rural part of Alaska or to North Dakota, durring pheasant hunting season.
As of now, my husband's job only allows him a week off of work, but in 2009 he will have two weeks available. If we found a home in England, near my family, I would stay for a full two weeks, even if my husband returned back to work. :) Our time frame is somewhat flexible, despite my husband's work.
