Set on 6 acres with views to Mt Ruapehu.
Located in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand it is a great base to travel to and from other parts of New Zealand, especially the North Island
Tairoa Lodge is nearest a town called Ohakune which is predominately a skiing area in the winter. Ohakune is located on the edge of Tongariro (World Heritage )National Park. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the many walks the area has to offer, including the Tongariro Crossing, one of New Zealands most popular 1 day walks.

Tairoa Lodge is 5 kms from the town of Ohakune and is set on the border of a river (where you can fish for trout) We also have a beautiful 18 hole golf course just 5 minutes drive from our home.

About Us

Alec & Liz are both in their late 50`s. We are "semi" retired and would now like to travel the world as much as we can.
We run our B&B on a part time basis, usually more busy in the winter as the area is mainly popular for skiing, although we do have many overseas guests in the summer too who enjoy the tranquillity of the place.We have two grown up children and 6 grandchildren
