Very cozy and comfortable 2 bedroom/2 bath farmhouse style home in quiet neighborhood with spectacular view of the Teton mountain range. Covered deck off of the living/dining room with gas Weber grill. Patio off of master bedroom with Teton views. Covered front entry way bench provides nice place to sit and admire the sunset. The home was completed in February 2005 and is nicely landscaped (maintained by an automatic irrigation system). Very open, 1500 sq. ft. floorplan with 1 bedroom and 1 bath on 2nd story, see-thru gas fireplace (master bedroom into living room), nicely equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, range with gas stovetop and electric oven. Laundry closet with washer & dryer. Two-car garage with vehicle, bicycle and kayak available for use.

Neighborhood

The view from my neighborhood is spectular! The Teton range is absolutely breathtaking. While I have neighbors on my street and in the subdivision, no one has yet built on the lots on either side of me, behind me, or across the street. Nice, quiet and private. Downtown Driggs (grocery store, restaurants, post office, etc.) is about 6 miles -- 8 minutes by car. There is a little General Aviation airport close by (about 4 miles) where they have a nice warbirds collection and an upscale restaurant. If you enjoy skiing, the Grand Targhee ski area is about 10 miles; Jackson Hole ski area is about 32 miles. The West gate of Yellowstone National Park is about 90 miles and the South gate of Grand Teton National Park is about a 45 minute drive. The nearby Teton and Snake Rivers provide numerous floating and world class fly fishing opportunities.

About Us

I am a marketing manager for a software company that is based in Denver, but has a small office in Driggs (I am so lucky!). I have lived in the Valley (Teton Valley, ID) since May of 1991, moving here from the Williamsburg, VA area. This community is really great. Lots of friendly, genuine and interesting people from all over. I have more friends here than I've had anywhere else I've ever lived. People come here for the recreation, natural beauty, and excellent quality of life. While I love living in this area, I miss being near an ocean and try to get to the ocean at least once/year.

I have 3 wonderful dogs -- a 12 year old lab, a 4 year old lab mix and a 4 year old jack russell terrier. They are on an invisible fence system that keeps them within the perimeter of the property, but out of the landscaping (they are diggers!). They have a dog door into the garage where they have food, water and their beds. My preference is to find an exchange situation where the people coming to my home wouldn't mind feeding and watering the dogs every morning. That's all that would need to be done.

Unless a friend would want to go with me, it would just be me vacationing in your home.

Destination

I would love to visit Vancouver, BC. I also love the Oregon coast and would like to visit the San Juan Islands, WA.
