Neighborhood

While Bahrain is a Muslim country there many cultures, religions and nationalities that live side by side in harmony. The local people expect respect for their own culture and are very tolerant of other cultures. Our neighbourhood is quiet and safe. The Roads are well laid out and driving is reasonably safe. There are many shopping malls, cinemas and clubs with beach and swimming pool facilities - entrance fees minimal. Cultural events are also held in Bahrain, and there are also historical sites that can be visited. we actually live in the valley below Riffa Fort which welcolms tourists. There are several parks including amusement and waterparks in Bahrain.
Medical facilities are excellent and so is the shopping!!!

About Us

We are a Family of four. I am originally british and met my husband, who is Bahraini, when I came to Bahrain in 1988. We have two teenage boys who are well behaved (for teenagers anyway). My children and husband are bilingual, English and Arabic. I tend to speak English which is understood throughout Bahrain. I work as a midwife in one of the local hospitals, My husband works for one of the local companies
