Description

Our passive solar home is very unique. Perched in the trees with incredible views, it lies about 7000 feet at the foot of the San Juan Mountains. The kitchen has granite tile counter tops and all the amenities. The south-facing main floor has picture windows and sliding doors which face a peaceful valley. The living room has a sliding door opening onto the balcony which graces the entire south side of the house. It is a perfect place for sipping morning coffee and watching the hummingbirds dart through the flowers. Numerous bird species live in the woods surrounding the house, and flock to the feeders. The balcony is also a perfect place for afternoon lounging and suppers watching the spectacular sunsets. The master is very spacious and has a sliding door out to the balcony with easy access to the hot tub. The large hot tub is very private while having lovely views over the valley. The dining room can comfortably seat eight. The office has computer and fax, along with a double futon couch. The upstairs bedroom sleeps two and has a comfortable sitting area and library. Our quiet neighborhood offers safe walking and biking. Our comfortable and tranquil home is a lovely retreat, with an easy drive to Durango and its wide range of outdoor activities and local attractions.

The Four Corners area has a wonderful four season climate. Our area is also fantastic during the winter with world-class skiing and excellent weather.
Car exchange. Possibly bikes, canoe, some fishing gear.

About Us

We are Roxie and Dave a married couple in our forties. We are respectful and careful and would treat your home well. We spend our summers in Colorado hiking, fishing and our winters in Southern Arizona soaking up the sunshine. We love traveling to ocean destinations (where we can indulge our love for sea kayaking, snorkeling and wildlife viewing), exploring new countries, or visiting fun cities. We view this as a wonderful opportunity to see new places from a local viewpoint. We delight in sharing our wonderful Colorado. As this is our second home, a simultaneous exchange isn’t strictly necessary.
