Description

Large brick and iron Federation style home with 3/4 bedrooms, office, home theatre and formal lounge and dining rooms. Family/meals area and modern kitchen with dishwasher, range hood canopy over gas hob and electric oven and microwave. Swimming pool available in summer months but is not heated for winter. All modern conveniences and quality furniture.
Two queen sized beds and a double bed in separate bedrooms with en-suite in main bedroom area.
Best of both worlds here with 1.5 acres of country style living in the suburbs. Many local birds visit our garden, Kookaburras, Cockatoos,
Wrens, Magpies are the norm but many other species visit also.
Half the house can be closed off if you would prefer smaller accomodation.
Dial up internet is available. Neighbours would be happy to assist with any queries and we have an old cat that needs feeding and a pat from time to time if you feel so inclined. Cat could be cared for
by family if that is a problem. Vehicle is highly recommended (anywhere in W.A.) and we have a Nissan Maxima sedan 3.0 litre which could be included as an optional exchange.

Neighborhood

Semi rural type neighbourhood, quiet and safe area but is actually part of suburbia. Major shopping complex 20 minutes away with cinemas and a myriad of shops and department stores. Large supermarkets are within 5 kms and very well stocked. This is in our local village shopping precinct and has good parking, a great bakery and "world's best" award winning Pizza shop. Fresh fish wholesaler and many other shops are also near the village as are Dr's and Pharmacy, Physiotherapist etc. We are about 40 minutes from Perth city, 40 minutes from our white sandy beaches and about 30 minutes from the domestic and international (separate) airports.
Walking is a great passtime for many here and offers a variety of roads to venture out on with either flat terrain or hills areas for the fitter or more adventuresome. The choice is yours!
The Swan Valley is a wine growing area with many activities on offer including wild life parks and many restaurants and is only 35-40 minutes away.
We live in the hills and there are also wineries with attached restaurants nearby.

About Us

My husband and I are reitred health professionals with 2 children and 2 young grandchildren. We speak English and love to travel, though we have not done so nearly enough as yet. Documentaries and movies, reading and visits with friends and family are our main interests and we love animals and wildlife in general.
My husband played a lot of sport in his younger years and we love the great outdoors, as is probably reflected somewhat in our choice of abode which is on a 1.5 acre property.
We had an exchange to Vancouver last year and drove ourselves through the Canadian Rockies in mid winter with another couple which was an awesome experience for people unused to snow and ice. We are very keen on a trip to Europe especially the mediterranean as our next overseas adventure.

Destination

Prefer to travel to Europe midseason in both hemisphere's as we do not wish to go into a northern hemisphere winter and most travellers probably don't want to come here in winter either, but open to any suggestions and happy to answer all enquiries.
We are not interested in skiing destinations at this time.
