Description

The house has a fantastic sunroom/great room with cathedral ceiling, the back wall of which is almost entirely glass looking out on a secluded, large backyard--perfect for a relaxing morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine, while watching the many birds and squirrels. The all-brick two-story house also has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one on each floor) and a cozy den.

Neighborhood

The house is on a small cul-de-sac in a quiet neigborhood in Falls Church, Virginia, a suburb near Washington, DC; and only a few blocks from major road/Route 50, which leads straight to Washington, DC. The upscale neighborhood has a unique mix of homes with nice-sized yards and trees, making walking around the neighborhood an enjoyable experience. A mall, groceries and other shopping is within a 3-minute drive from the house. Access to Washington, D.C. is an easy drive by car, about 15 minutes; or there is a metro stop about 2 miles from the house.

About Us

We are a retired couple. We are avid bird watchers. We love gourmet food and wine.

Destination

Offer 1 South Africa: We are interested in visiting the western cape area of South Africa. We would like to find a comfortable place to stay in the Cape Town area, from which we could make several trips into the country to explore this part of South Africa and go birdwatching. The exchange would not have to be simultaneous.

Offer 2 Carribbean/New Zealand/Australia We are interested in visiting these areas to birdwatch and explore the country. The exchange would not have to be simutaneous.
