My husband and I live here in Hermosa Beach California in a peaceful 2 bedroom duplex, both rooms are spacious and have queen beds, there is one bathroom,a large ktichen with combined sun room which has an additional futon couch/sofa bed that sleeps two people if need be. The Lounge /Dining room has a relaxed atmosphere with ocean views, you can sit and have dinner by the Bay window looking out to the beach, or drink a nice glass of red by the open fire place. Lounging on the couch is also a nice option if you have a good book or a desire to watch anything on cable. All mod cons such as Plasma TV with surround sound, CD and DVD unit are all here. There are 2 car spots, plus on street parking. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes walking distance from house, plus hollywood hotspots are only a 30 minute drive from this area.

Neighborhood

Everything is at your feet, you have the beach being a stone's throw away, a large variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, all walking distance from the house, we have bicycles if you are wanting to join the locals cruising the beach front, otherwise a nice walk will do the trick. Either way you will pass by some beautiful homes in this area. You have department stores and movie cinemas within a ten minute drive.
Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Malibu are all within a 20 - 30 minute drive from hermosa beach and Hollywood taking between 30 - 40 minutes.

About Us

My name is Brooke, I am a 32 yr old Australian who has just moved out to California to be with my husband Max Soto. Max is American and his lived here most of his life, he is the director of an events company called Ace Entertainement. We both love to travel, and have an important trip planned for this year as we are soon to have an addition to our family on July 10th..we are expecting a baby girl! our first baby! In order to see all my family and friends, we are travelling to Australia for the end of Nov and month of December to have a small wedding ceremony as well as spend Christmas with my family before heading back to the US.

Destination

As this trip is planned in accordence to our wedding and spending Christmas with my family the dates are pretty set and flights are booked. We are leaving LA on the 17th Nov and have a return for either the 27th Dec or later if need be, the return flights have not yet be finalised and can be flexible.
I was hoping for the opportunity to do a house exchange for similar dates and we were looking to stay within Sydney's northern beaches or through to the city areas in order to be close my to family.
