Description

My house is in a quiet village about 10 minutes drive from the bars, restaurants and nightlife of downtown Vientiane. I have a one storey villa in a modern Lao style with an ouside patio area, gazebo and large living area.
The house is very modern compared to most Lao houses, but quite basic compared to Western standards. Please email with any questions!
The house itself has 2 bedrooms and one study with broadband internet, a washing machine, two bathrooms with western toilets including one en-suite, fully equipped kitchen, garden furniture including barbecue, TV and DVD player, and a garden. It is situated in a village in the outskirts of Vientiane, with two markets closeby for food shopping.
You will have the use of a Willys jeep and a 125cc dirtbike.

Neighborhood

The village, Phonesavang, is a typical Lao village, quiet and calm. There are lots of things to do in Vientiane city, just a short drive away. Lots of sightseeing, shopping and dining to suit every taste and pocket, all vith stunning views of the Mekong river.
And with the use of the jeep, you'll be able to get out into places that most people never get to see - well off the beaten track!
Vientiane is also the natural base for someone wishing to travel further afield - maybe up to beautiful World Heritage site Louang Prabang, or down to the laid back islands of Si Phan Don.

About Us

I have lived in Laos for over 4 years and I work as an Elementary school teacher in Vientiane. I came here on a whim and never left!
I'm single, and I live with my housekeeper, Noi, And my two dogs, Bam Bam and Mojo.
Work keeps me very busy, but in my free time I love going out with friends, cooking and shopping. Ha!

Destination

This can be a non simultaneous exchange as I am planning to study in Perth around this timeframe. Dates are flexible and I will post more info when I know more myself. Even if I can't study on the course I want to, I'll still be going over th Oz.
