Description

Cozy single family home in the Phoenix suburbs. Modern/Urban decor. Master has a very comfortable king size bed. Kid's room has twin bunk beds, and office/den has a full size pull-out sofa. Sleeps 5-6. Two full baths. Living room has a large screen TV w/dish and DVR & DVD. Master bedroom has TV, DVD, & DVR. Den has a small LCD TV. High Speed Internet (wireless). Small yard with private pool (not-heated swimmable May-Oct - although have seen kids willing swim in Mar-Apr) Easy freeway access to see the rest of AZ. 1 mile to historic old downtown square of Chandler, with great restaurants including - microbrewery - wine bar - mexican w/ patio dining routinely voted "best in Phoenix" - bistro owned by an Arizona Winery, quaint shops. Near many golf courses. Home was built in 2003.

Neighborhood

Quiet neighborhood. Very close to freeway access. Centrally located. On the southern edge of Phoenix, so access to Tucson is convenient as well.

A spring break exchange would provide the opportunity for great golfing, and attending spring training baseball games.

A summer exchange would bring you hot temps, use of the pool, camping & backpacking equipment if you wish to experience the Arizona mountains and/or Grand Canyon, and very cheap golf (if you can stand the heat.) A chance to experience our Arizona monsoon, dust storms and thunderstorms that bring a welcoming drink to the desert.

Driving time from our home to the Grand Canyon (4 hours), Tucson (90 minutes), downtown Phoenix (20-25 minutes), Sedona (a bit over 2 hours), nearest campground in the cooler mountains with pines (90 minutes).

About Us

We are a family of 3. We are both about 40, me a community college professor, husband a editor/writer, and our sweet 9 year old daughter.

We are open to many locations. We like cities as well as nature and outdoor activities.

Destination

We are open to many locations. We like cities as well as nature and outdoor activities.

We are open to trading for just about any US destination for one week over our March spring break. (Usually 2nd or 3rd week of March) You'll most likely will be treated to WONDERFUL weather. My daughter is fascinated with going to New York City and Hawaii, so those places would score big points with her.

For a summer exchange, we would be open to all U.S. destinations, and also foreign destinations, in particular the U.K. (Wales in particular)
