Description

Our chalet has 3 floors: on the 1st, a large living dining area and open kitchen, which makes for a convivial atmosphere. The table seats 8 easily. Outside there is also a big table where we enjoy doing barbeques and sipping wine while enjoying the majestic view of the mountains. The bedrooms on the 2nd floor each can sleep 2 persons. There's a spacious bedroom on the top floor and also a den. The kitchen is fully equiped including dishwasher, stove, frig, microwave and regular utensils.
We have a large flat screen TV and video-DVD player.
We are open to non-simultaneous exchanges as it is not our first home.
PLEASE NOTE THE CHALET IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR AN EXCHANGE IN WINTER.

Neighborhood

The chalet is in a small village in the valley of Nendaz, a year-round resort known for its fabulous amounts of "Bisses"= irrigation canals with water, great for walks at all altitudes (and flat!) but also a beautiful area for more serious mountain hikes for all levels of walkers and many cable cars to great views (Mont Fort is at 3400m altitude). Nendaz is in the center of the canton of Valais which has many historical sites to visit, dating from the Roman times, through the middle ages. Great vineyards too! So a wonderful area for wine and cheese lovers. Sion, the capital, is 10 min. by car from the chalet, with it's old town, castles and shops. The bus going from Sion to Haute nendaz stops not far away from the chalet.
Many activities, and visits to do (castles, museums, thermal baths, shopping, sport activities, cable cars, adventure parks, hiking...) Idealy located for day trips to other parts of the Valais (Zermatt,Matterhorn, Montana, Sass Fee...). The Valais is known for it's sunny climate . The chalet is 1 1/2 hours from Geneva airport by car.

En haut d'un village de Nendaz, A 15 min de la station qui offre beaucoup d'activités. Beaucoup de possibilités de promenades ("bisses"), pour tous les niveaux. Aussi 15 min de Sion, capital du Valais, chateaux, veille ville, bains thermaux, vignes. Climat ensoleilée. Location centrale en Valais facilite les excursions en Valais (Zermatt, Montana...et la Suisse -1 1/2h de Genève et de la capital de la suisse: Berne!)

About Us

We are a retired couple - Karen and Jean-Louis - in our 60's. Our 3 girls are adults with their own families. We enjoy discovering new places and people. We like to travel with friends so generally would be 4 to travel. We need therefore at least 2 double rooms. We prefer travelling in the spring and fall if using our car. We have already made 15 exchanges in Europe and the USA and have enjoyed them all. It's also nice to know that others appreciate our chalet and can discover a fabulous region that we enjoy so much. The chalet being quite occupied by the family in winter, it is not available for exchange in that season.

Nous sommes un couple retraité avec 3 filles qui sont mariées avec familles. Nous aimons voyager avec des amis et serions 4 à voyager d'habitued et avons besoin donc de 2 chambres doubles. Nous preférons le printemps et l'automne pour notre échange si nous nous déplaçons en voiture. Avons déjà fait 15 échanges que nous avons beaucoup appréciés. Nous sommes aussi contents de faire découvrir note belle région à nos visiteurs. Puisque le chalet est très occupé en hiver par la famille, il n'est pas disponible pour un échange en cette saison.
