Right in the center of the Pemaquid Penninsular the location is close to the Ocean and the Areas lakes. Visit galleries, dine in the areas many fine eateries, take a day trip to Monhegan Island........or just relax by the pool.

Two Century Farm has met and easily exceeded expectations and over the years has garnered numerous loyal fans because of its uniqueness.

Neighborhood

Maine's Mid-coast stretches from Portland to Camden and Bristol lies mid-way between the two towns. There are a variety of outdoor and cultural activities for guests to enjoy. Yet the Pemaquid Peninsular is remains real Down East Maine. You'll hear the accent and in the Port Villages you'll see working Lobstermen as opposed to luxury yachts.

Kayaking, fishing, antiquing, art galleries, and fine restaurents.are all within a short distance.

Long a favorite destination for summer residents and retirees whose objective is peace and quite, the peninsular today has become most desirable. Music programs, and the arts flourish here offering activities without the press of Tourism writ large.

About Us

I am retired from the Investment Profession and have spent the last few years preserving the property that has been in my family since 1961. We came to America from South Africa at that time. I returned to South Africa in 1966 and stayed there until the 1980's.After that I worked and or lived in Switzerland, England, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

I went to the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz before HIgh School, was in an Eastern Prep School and went to University at Penn in Philadelphia, and Wits in Johannesburg.

I welcome interchange with people of other countries and can make myself understood in German, French and Italian with a little effort and a jog of my memory.

Destination

Non-simultaneous exchanges are fine. I am seeking a village or rural environment near a culturally active regional town that is relatively near my arrival point in your country. My preference is for a spot that offers walks and hikes, with nearby cafes and bistros. I am not wanting five star dining and tourist haunts. I'd prefer to be able to dine in bistros and byicile and hike, and Kayak

I'd like to learn about a new place through contact with the locals if possible. My interest are painting, literature, walking, sailing, and Golf, but it is not important to be near sailing or Golf. I get to do these things at home.

I am flexible except for the months of June, July and August when I have to be at home. September and October are the best times to visit my Home. The days are warm and the evenings just shilly enough to be cosy. Thee autumn colors are beginning to appear. With few tourists its easy to experience all the activities without any crowds.
