Description

Our 30 year old home has outdoor amenities like bicycles and kayaks. We have a large Garden with grapes, blueberries, red raspberries and organically grown vegetables. We have many windows with forest views. We live in Georgia wine country. In august of 07 a beautiful new winery opens one mile from our home. You can walk out the back yard into national forest or bike down the road one mile to a great swimming hole. The house has a large jacuzzi tub and a wonderful outdoor shower. We are 10 minutes from Dahlonega Georgia-a great little tourist town, site of the first american gold rush.

Neighborhood

You feel like you have the whole world to yourself at our home. Sit out on the porch swing and have coffee looking over the garden. You may see wildlife of the Southeastern variety. There are owls, pilated woodpeckers, occasionally a great blue heron, hummingbirds. The frogs can be noisy. The Appalachian Mountains are very beautiful. We are 20 minutes from Amicalola Falls, 10 minutes from Dahlonega GA, 30 minutes from the start of the Appalachian Trail. There are unending trails and creeks to explore. We own a music store so if you are a musician we can connect you to instruments, performances, and friends.

About Us

I am an artist and landscape photographer. I speak some french. My husband is a professional fiddler. We own a music store. We have two fairly well behaved lab/pointer mix dogs who spend most of their time outdoors. They would love to come along on a walk.

Destination

We just returned from ten days in Ireland and would like to return as we had good musical contacts there. We would like to spend a short time which would not have to be simultaneous at a beach within driving distance. We have friends in Asheville North Carolina, so would like to spend some time there. I would like to visit the Pacific Northwest, the Grand Canyon, Alaska or Hawaii.
