Home is a great 1700 sq.ft. home in a quiet Ahwatukee (South Phoenix) neighborhood nestled in the South Mountian Preserves and only a 1/2 km walk to the South Mountain park (trails for hiking and biking, use of our bicycles is allowed and encouraged). Newly renovated home with ceiling fans in all rooms, enjoy the Phoenix sun in the private pool. Also has half-court basketball court.

We have an Honda Civic Hybrid for use at our home as well. Home is also close to a highway (I-10) which means you can get anywhere around town in a hurry. Mexico is a 2 hour drive, San Diego takes about 5 hours, Las Vegas in about 4 hours, Los Angeles in about 6 hours.

We have a number of cats living with us, they are very friendly and won't bother guests at all. There are 14 of them, they have their own "cat-bedroom" which has a door for them to go outside to their "cat-house" (outdoor enclosure). Most of them could stay in their bedroom/cat-house with the door closed but there are a few who may not get along with the others in such a close living arrangement and as such would need to be in another area of the house. We would need someone who is willing to take care of all of our "kids" while they are there (feeding & scooping poop), there are lots of ways to keep them isolated if necessary, especially if there are only 2-4 guests. There are also 3 turtles in a large aquarium that need to be fed each day (very easy job).

Neighborhood

The home is less than 5 minutes from 3 golf courses and 15 minutes from at least 10 golf courses. Get a taste of Mexican culture (and practice your spanish) less than 5 minutes away in the town of Guadalupe where you can buy all the fresh produce you need to make great dinners.

Neighbors are very quiet and respectful of your privacy, there is a nice park with toys for children and a large field for playing soccer or other sports.

From our home you can walk to the South Mountain Preserves (largest municipally-owned park in U.S.) which are awesome for hiking, jogging, exploring or biking.

Home is within an hour of several Phoenix-area lakes for boating, etc.

About Us

We are a young but very responsible married couple, we are very quite and love animals. If you have pets don't worry about where to take them while you are gone, we would love to take care of them for you. We don't need a lot of space and wouldn't plan on using your home for much besides sleeping and showering.

One of us is an Environmental Engineer and the other a medical student of Naturopathic medicine. One of us speaks fluent Cantonese, the other some Spanish and a little Mandarin.

Destination

Dates for the future are also possible, pretty flexible but need to know in advance because of school scheduling. Anywhere we haven't been would be nice to see, airfare permitting.
