Descrizione

Our home is a spacious 1,400 sq ft town house on 3 levels. The place has a warm, modern feel and includes 1 bedroom with queen size bed and 1 spare room with a double futon. There is also an office that could be used as a third bedroom if needed. Features include a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, TV and internet access. An outdoor pool is part of the complex and available in summer (~May to September). Our place is very clean and pet free (allergy friendly!).

Notre maison est une maison en rangee spacieuse de 1400 pieds carres sur 3 etages. Elle possede une ambiance moderne et chaleureuse et comprend une chambre avec lit Queen et une chambre d'amis avec futon pour 2. Nous avons aussi un bureau qui pourrait servir de chambre supplementaire si necessaire. La maison possede une cuisine bien equipee, laveuse/secheuse, tele et l'internet. Notre maison est tres propre et sans animaux (bien pour les allergies!).

You've probably seen it on TV during the Olympics. What more does it take to convince you to come to Vancouver, British Columbia?

The greatest thing about our place is that it is close to all the Vancouver action and nearby services but still has the outdoorsy laidback feel that is one of British Columbia's best assets. Our place is located in Burnaby, just outside Vancouver, in a quiet residential area. The house is conveniently located close to a mall, restaurants and grocery stores (10 minute walk). There are also 2 skytrain (metro-like transit system) stations within a 2 minute bus ride (or 15 minute walk) to take you to downtown Vancouver. Downtown is also just a 20 min drive away by car.

Our neighbourhood has several large trees, parks and trails. We like taking walks on the trail next to the local creek which starts a block from our place. Salmon come to spawn in the creek and can be seen at certain times of year. The trails connect to Burnaby Mountain park which also features mountain biking trails. A short 5 minute drive takes you to the top of Burnaby Mountain where you can visit Burnaby Mountain Park and conservation area and get one of the best city views (http://maps.google.ca/maps/place?hl=en&source=hp&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=burnaby+mountain+park&fb=1&gl=ca&hq=burnaby+mountain+park&hnear=Burnaby,+BC&cid=8916097453095452239).

Chi siamo

We're a couple in our early 30s who enjoy traveling, snowboarding, scuba diving, camping, dining out and entertaining guests. We'd love to experience living in Europe for about 1 month based in a central location like Paris.

We are still flexible with our timing and duration. We are primarily interested in an exchange in Paris, Ile-de-France, but are open to other offers that would have similar proximity to cultural sites of interest and an airport. Contact us! We look forward to trying something new!
