Descrizione

Our cosy apartment on the fourth floor of a small apartment building, has 100 sq.m. and consists of 2 bedrooms, one with king sized futon bed, the other with a baby crib, a sofa and a desk with desktop computer. An extra matress or two could be arranged for this room if needed. The house is generally fully equipped with all the usual amenities. Access by stairs or lift.

Quartiere

Antwerp is a diamond in the rough, literally almost, given its status as diamond capital of the world. Besides also being the second largest port in Europe and the former home of Flemish painter Rubens, the city has tons more to offer. Yes, there's history, but here it goes hand in hand with cutting edge design and fashion (think Dries Van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck and Veronique Branquinho). An interesting fact is also that 164 different nationalities are living in Antwerp, making it one of the most international cities in the world, second only to Amsterdam, with 177 nationalities. It all adds to the (colour)ful image the city has to offer.

Our apartment is centrally located with all you need just around the corner or less than a 5 min. walk away. Supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants and even our own little Chinatown are within short walking distance. For smaller distances, buses and trams pass by frequently in the next street, and for intercity travelling, the city's beautiful Central (train) Station is only 5 mins away. From there, it's only a 1 hour train ride to Amsterdam, 2 hours to Paris and 2,5 hours to London, to name but a few big European cities easily accessible by train. Another big advantage is that Belgium is one of the hubs for bargain flights. From Charleroi Airport, just over 1h from Antwerp, flights leave to around 60 destinations spread across Europe, sometimes for as little as 10 euro (see for example www.ryanair.com).

Chi siamo

We are a young couple (28 and 25) with our lovely 4 months old baby boy. Both keen on travelling and discovering new places around the world, we look forward to nice opportunities for swapping our home with like-minded people from around the globe!
