Descrizione

Our 4 bedroom house was designed to bring the outside, inside!
a Large wooden deck surrounds the house and offers stunning views of the surrounds. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms all with sea views.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen is open plan with a central fireplace for atmosphere.
On the first floor is another entertainment or childrens area to have a afternoon nap or to relax and read a book.
The house is a 'Vermont' style wooden construction.
Power is supplied by the sun in the form of solar panels charging a bank of batteries. A silent generator is there as back up power, should it be needed.
All the amenities you would expect are in the house including a microwave, Flatscreen television, DVD player and CD/Ipod music player. Satelite TV can be activated on request.
Cooking in the kitchen is done on a Smeg gas stove and oven. The fridges and freezer also run off the solar system.
Weber and other facilities for BBQ's on the deck.
The house is fully furnished and the only thing that is needed is your own food and drinks.

Quartiere

Our house is situated on a 40ha farm with towering sand dunes as well as indigenous fynbos that is home to countless animals including leopard, caracals, African Wild Cat as well as various species of buck. The actual house overlooks the Indian ocean, with 4km of unspoilt pristine beach as well as many little rocky coves and small bays. Collect your own oysters, mussels and a myriad of other shell fish and make your own seafood meals.
This area is also well known as an excellent beach and rock fishing destination. Long walks can be taken exploring the ancient middens that used to be the migrant Khoi-San 'hunting' grounds. Please do not remove any of the artifacts.
This place is for the person/s and families that want and like to enjoy nature pure and still have all the luxuries with it.
The closest towns are Mossel Bay(30km), Albertinia(25km), George - with airport(65km).
Smaller villages in the area, Vleesbaai(6km), Boggomsbaai(15km), Gouritsmond (20km)
The area is on the beginning of the Garden Route in the Southern Cape
Cape Town is 380km and Port Elisabeth 400km along the N2 National road.
What also makes the area unique is that the farm is part of a Conservancy, on the Fransmanshoek Peninsula. Just a few hundred meters from the house is where a French Man 'o War, the 'La Fortune' ran aground in the late 18th century. All the crew survived and managed to walk back to Cape Town.

Chi siamo

We are a family of 4. We have two children, a boy Cameron(born in 2002) and a girl Jodi-Leigh (born in 2003). We love the outdoors life. Our business is in the Tourism sector. We live in Swakopmund, Namibia and run our business from there. We spesialise in the Corporate Incentive trade, as well as the Individual traveller visiting Namibia and Botswana. The company is called Abenteuer Afrika Safari.
One of the reasons to look for a home exchange is because we love travelling. Our children are now of an age that they could appreciate and enjoy it. We are looking at doing a years' travel with the children in 2011.
All four of us speak English Afrikaans and German.

Destinazione

dates are flexible during 2011. It would all depend if we find an offer in Europe or the Americas or Australasia for an exchange. we plan to travel for a year and have not fixed an itinarary yet
