Our home is newer, spacious (3,000 sq.ft.), nicely appointed and CLEAN! There are 5 bedrooms: a large master w/soaker tub, nice guest room (queen bed), 2 kids rooms (boy and girl) with full size beds, and a playroom that could be used otherwise. We have a large great room, beautiful eat-in kitchen, breakfast room, formal dining room, formal living room, and laundry w/ new washer/dryer. All of the halls/entry/kitchen/baths are tile and the bedrooms are carpeted. The kitchen has granite w/stainless steel, a huge counter island and buffet. The back and side yards are fully fenced (backing to golf course) with playset and trampoline (which could be removed if you don't have kids). There is a large, covered front porch, large front yard and two driveways. We do have a nice Lexus GX470 that could be included in the trade, as well as bikes, nice camping gear, etc. If you have children, they will have all they could want! Our "kid's wing" is very inviting, the playroom is fully stocked, and the house has lots of room to play. If you are a retired couple, no worries, the house is tastefully decorated in an adult manner and the playroom is on the back hallway and could be converted! We do not wear shoes in our home and hope you might embrace that custom!

WE WOULD BE VERY WILLING TO LEAVE YOUR HOME AT THE TIMES YOU NEED IT, AS MY HUSBANDS WORK SCHEDULE IS FAIRLY FLEXIBLE AND WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK AND VISIT RELATIVES IN CANADA AND NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.***

Quartiere

We live in a gated, golf course community that backs to the foothills of Sequoia National Park. The winter is very nice and mild and the summer is hot. We live on the outskirts of town in a very nice area, surrounded by hills and nice homes. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants and anything you could need in Bakersfield. The nicest thing about this location is the proximity to so many great areas of California. We are within driving distance of some of the most beautiful places and popular attractions: Yosemite, Monterey, Paso Robles, Sequoia, San Francisco, Southern California, beaches, and even Las Vegas if that interests you!

Chi siamo

My husband was born in Switzerland and speaks German. I was born in California but have traveled the U.S. extensively and we have also lived in Canada. I am trained as a pilot and instructor, but stay home with my children. My husband has traveled to many countries for work. He has engineering work in Europe on a permanent basis but we would like to keep our home in California for now. We do not want to be away from him so much and would like the children to experience living in another country and learning the language. We have been blessed with two beautiful children (5 &2) who are very smart, sweet and well behaved. We have no pets but would love to have a dog someday! We are hoping to find someone who wants to experience LIVING in California, enjoying all that it has to offer, for 6 mo to a year or even longer. We would treat your home with utmost respect, and could water plants, take care of pets, or forward mail for you. We have nice things in our home and the children are expected to treat things appropriately and with respect.

We do not need a home as large as ours is. Please don't hesitate to make us an offer! A 2nd home or vacation home of yours could be enough.

Destinazione

We would like something in Switzerland, as we do have relatives there and it is centrally located, but we are open to suggestion. My husband works in various places in continental Europe. We are hoping for a year or longer.
