A family home near to Copenhagen and the beach, but cool and calm.

The main sleeping room is a grand-lit. In a matter of fact it's a wall-to-window-bed covering 2,8 meters (being of normal length). One child's room is a sleeping room containing a bunk bed.

The kitchen is well equipped with all things normal for a kitchen. But we've 2 ovens, and no microwave. There is room in the kitchen to sit by a table and eat (4 pers.), but there is also a more civilized space for it in the living room.

The winter garden is so nice because of the light. It's heated all trough the year, so it's always in use. There are 2 sofas and a hammock...and the telly with a lot of stations, also paid ones with good movies both for the children and the grownup. We don't have a lot of dvds but we've everything Monty Phyton ever made!
Our bookcase contain also english titles, mostly literature and history. Wireless Internet is availabel.

The garden has swings and things like that. It has 3 "rooms". The children's place with swing and a little house, fruit trees and bushes. To the south we've our most used terrace. To the west there's a bench in front of the end wall to enjoy the evening sun.

One children's room is used for play and paint.

The bathroom is little and nice. Shower only but we've a little blue bathtub for small children.

The house is a standard single family house from the 60s, not changed but for the winter garden witch is a standard 80s thing.

Quartier

Our house is in the middle of a neighbourhood of these small houses on small sites. The house is 110 square meters. The garden about 600 square meters. Very peacefull with lots of birds. It's in Avedøre a part of Hvidovre. One of the first suburbs to City Copenhagen (10 km to the city center).
You can go by bus ( 5 min. walk to the busstop) or the A-train (20 min. walk. to the station) to the city of Copenhagen.

3 things we do a lot:
We go to church in our church: Avedøre Kirke. It's a new church from 1976. We have a really good girl-choir.

(english summery at the end of the page) we'll bike, also the kids. We bike beside the sea some of the way. Nice and beautiful.

À propos de nous

We are a family of 4. A husband (45 - chemist) a wife (47 - librarian) and 2 daughters (5 & 7).
The 7 year old is attending school, so we have fixed dates for travelling the next many years to come. The summer we spend at the North See, but 2 weeks in the year we'll like to travel to the rest of the world. Starting with Europe (incl. Turkey :-)

We don't have a car, we don't need one where we live, but this means that we need the public transport. It must be possible to reach your home with a bus or a train. At home we use a bike (a nihola). You can watch some pictures of that bike here: http://nihola.info/da/nihola+cykler/cigar+family/
Beside the Nihola everybody has a bike, so we have bikes for the entire family.

Destination

Europe.
We would like to visit Europe both because we already know it and because we don't.

It's not that we don't want to visit the rest of the world, but time and money decides against it - right now.
