For sun lovers the villa is south east facing and the sun reaches the the south facing terrace from about 10am in the morning and goes down facing the east facing terrace around 7pm at night. As we are facing a lake and surrounded by mountains we tend to have our own mini climate here and whereas the beaches can get very hot in July/August we tend to have welcome light breezes to make it more comfortable. If you wish to escape the heat there are plenty of cool places inside the villa especially if you operate the air con. From our conservatory you directly overlook the pool and can sit and relax enjoying the view in 3 aspects whilst supping your gin and tonic with sliced lemons which can be picked directly from the garden in season. The outside kitchen & bbq is much used and very convenient for eating & enterment. Most of our family and visitors tend to stay at the villa for most of their holiday rather than go out as everything to make their holiday perfect they can find at their fingertips.

Quartier

Located on a high position overlooking a splendid lake and dam with coarse fishing facilities with mountain and sea views our detached family villa occupies a beautiful and quiet spot where you can truely relax and get away from it all. If you enjoy hill walking in a fantastic location it is unbeatable with views that will take your breath away. When you want action the excellent sandy beach at villajoyosa [a very Spanish port with lots of interesting history] it is only 10 mins in the car. For shopping ther are a few basic shops in the village of Orcheta but the main hypermarkets and malls are only 15 mins away where you can buy almost anything that you might require at La Marina, Finestrat. For serious partying for the youngsters all the bars, clubs and discos are only 20 mins away. This is also a great place to base yourself to discover the Northern Costa Blanca with Altea, Calpe, Javea, Denia all within easy striking distance. This is truely location, location, location!

My wife and I are retired now although I still have some work interest in the Telecom Industry. My wife worked for a number of years with senior management positions in airline HR at Heathrow. I like water sports and do a little sailing aswell as having a daily swim to keep fit. We have a number of family connections in the UK Thames Valley / London area and visit frequently.

Destination

We are looking initially for exchange partners at peak holiday time who want to come to our beautiful villa in Spain and we wish to be based centrally to visit our many family and friends in the Thames Valley/West London
