Descrizione

Our lovely well-maintained and spacious home has 2400+ square feet of living space. It is fully furnished, tastefully decorated, bright and airy with an open floor plan and sleeps 6 comfortably.

The upper level is open and bright with lots of natural light; vaulted ceilings; copper wrapped pillars and railings; enjoy the large and sun filled gourmet kitchen with all the amenities including breakfast bar; formal dining room (seats 8) with access to large deck; comfortable living room with large screen TV, gas fireplace and also has access to the large deck; powder room; beautiful open master suite with king size bed and on suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub; the over sized deck overlooks our beautifully maintained yard.

The lower level includes family room with piano, large screen TV and gas fireplace; 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed the other has a twin over full bunk bed; one full bath; office/rec room.

The yard is very peaceful and beautifully landscaped with a water fountain koi pond, out-door hot/cold shower, above ground gas fire pit surrounded by seating and a gorgeous Bali hut with day bed. The over sized deck, which overlooks the yard, has a propane barbecue grill, table and chairs.

The house is equipped with satellite HDTV, High-speed Internet and WiFi. Bed linens, towels and beach towels are provided. Outdoor basketball system, beach chairs and boogie boards are included for your use.

Quartiere

Our home is ideally located on the west side of Highway 1. It is a short walk to many beautiful beaches, miles of scenic coastal walking/riding paths, surfing, hiking, tide pools, historic main street, outdoor coastside farmer’s market (Saturday's only), driving range and steps away to a large children’s park.

A few other nearby activities include kayaking; guided horseback rides along and on the beautiful scenic beaches; pony rides; Maverick’s big wave surfing; 36 holes of championship golf overlooking the Pacific Ocean; deep-sea fishing and whale watching tours (seasonal) and so much more.

Our quaint town of Half Moon Bay offers a variety of amazing art galleries, spas, fitness centers, wine tasting, many bookstores, coffee shops, fine restaurants, boutiques, bakeries and antique shops. Local library, a full service bike shop offering bike rentals, a local live theatre, skateboard park, markets and are all within walking distance from our house.

Many of the local establishments offer live music on the weekends.

Four miles north of town (Pillar Point Harbor) you can buy freshly caught fish right off one of the many local fishing boats, have your fish cleaned right at the harbor and take it home to throw on the grill for dinner.

Distance from Half Moon Bay to San Francisco is approximately 25 miles; a short drive over the Golden Gate Bridge will take you into Marin, Sausalito, Tiburon and Mill Valley; South on Scenic Coastal Highway 1 will take you to Pescadero, Santa Cruz, Capitola, Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel By The Sea; 30 minute drive to Stanford, Palo Alto, Menlo Park.

Chi siamo

Active family of 4 with two young girls age 7 and 10.

Our home is available for exchange for some holiday's and from June through August. We spend most of our summers back east in Rhode Island so swapping coasts would be great.

We are open to all destinations both domestic and international during holiday breaks both summer and winter.

One of our family members is highly allergic to cats so a home where a cat lives would not be an option for us.

We speak English although our girls are learning Spanish and are currently attending a Spanish Immersion elementary school so a Spanish speaking country would be a fun destination to bring the girls.

Destinazione

We are open to both domestic and international destinations.

We like to travel during our children's school holidays and summers but have some flexibility.

We also like to take long weekends locally throughout the year to other nearby coastal and mountainous destinations such as San Francisco, Sausalito, Tiburon, Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, Capitola, etc.
