Very inviting, spacious mid-century modern home, near San Francisco, Sausalito, Napa Valley, Sonoma, wine country, Pt. Reyes National Seashore. Not far to Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Five bedrooms 2 baths, arranged around an indoor courtyard. Dining and living room areas, inside and outside, see photos. Many of the house's walls are glass so there is always a feeling of being close to outdoors. Master bedroom with king sized bed, a second bedroom with queen sized bed, the other rooms (offices, TV room) can accomodate futons. Small hot tub. Vegetable garden. Great community swimming pool 1 block away. One cat. Older children/teens are welcome, the house is not childproof enough for younger children. Sunny northern california at its best.

Quartiere

One of a kind neighborhood, in a tranquil valley, close to a freeway so 25 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge/San Francisco, 20 minutes to Sausalito, 30 minutes to Napa Valley and other wine valleys, 45 minutes to Pt. Reyes National Seashore, four hours to Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada. Yet at night you can see the stars and hear coyotes. In these Eichler neighborhoods, the architects drew on Frank Lloyd Wright and Japanese inspired design. There is a large community swimming pool a block away and tennis courts and outdoor hiking trails are half a block away. Many other trails are within five miles. Farmers markets are nearby on Thursday and Sunday mornings.

Chi siamo

We are an internal medicine physician and an insurance agent, both in our 50s, one speaks Spanish the other one French. No children, one cat. Our house shows our love of travel, with sculptures, books and musical instruments from Indonesia, Hawaii, Bhutan, and Mexico.

Although our house is pretty special, we are not rich folks, we travel simply, we are open to any exchange with anyone in a house that's comfortable and convenient to an interesting or unusual spot. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

Destinazione

We are particularly interested in simultaneous exchanges in Southern Europe (the south of France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey); Polynesia, the Caribbean especially French Caribbean, and Asia, but are open to all inquiries including weekend/week exchanges within the western U.S., Maine in the summer, Hawaii, and Canada. Our best times to travel are fall, winter and spring. At this time I can usually only go for 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
