Descrizione

2900 square feet 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths on 2 levels plus finished basement. Private pool in back yard and great outdoor spaces.
Ground floor: spacious well equiped kitchen adjoins large family room and both of them look out to the pool, patio and deck. Since the areas flow together this is where people gather and the main area for TV, stereo, etc... Separate formal living room with piano and formal dining room which seats 6 to 8 as well as office with DSL line and a large wrap around desk. There is also a toilet room on this floor.
Upstairs: Huge master suite on two levels with en suite bath, 2 queen bedded rooms and a single bedded room all share the other upstairs bath. Washer and dryer on this floor.
Basement: Lots of family games, TV with game systems, Galaga table, Fooseball table and fully furnished.
Garage with parking for one of the two cars available. Motorcycle and ATV can be discussed if you have one too. Two bicycles here for your use and we could probably get more if needed.
Outside is a view of the farm fields behind the house and a heated 24' round pool with deck for sunning as well as 14' trampoline with safety net, patio and table and a nice large grill. We live out here in the summer as is is perfect! Tables, chairs, lounges, shade and sun all provided here as well as grass for the kids.

Quartiere

House is in a suburban setting in a very nice development outside a small town called Antioch which connects easily to Chicago.
Antioch has 13000 residents and has a still functional downtown which has that small town midwestern feel. Lots of community parades and activities all summer long including concerts, fairs, and other events. Allways something going on! All services and amenites are within 10 minutes here.
Antioch is on the train line to Chicago which takes one hour. We are the last stop because we are right on the Wisconsin state line. Driving can take as little as 45 minutes into downtown Chicago and 45 minutes in to Milwaukee. Madison is 1 1/2 hours as well.
We are the entrance to the "Chain of Lakes" where boaters can go for hours through a string of navigable lakes. Great for fishermen too. Lake Michigan is less than 15 miles the other way.
Theme parks and shopping malls less than 20 minutes.
Chicago has whatever you want in terms of art, culture, fairs, and festivals and Milwaukee has Summerfest if you are a music fan.
All of this but kind of out in the country feeling make this a great family spot.

Chi siamo

We are a family of 3 who are active in the church and the community locally. Ages 51, 42, and 11 but we might have other family join as well. Athletics, cheer, gymnastics are the ladies choices. Dad is an avid motorcyclist.
English and German are spoken.
We have a small dog who does not shed ( Bichon Frise) but she can be boarded.

Destinazione

School holidays only which means either June/July/August or that period which straddles March/April.
Europe or South Africa are next on the list but Puerto Rico is always welcome.
We are experienced travelers but this is our first swap.
We are open to interesting offers!
