Description

Our home is a 2 storied house with the living areas upstairs. Fronting the estuary, it is tastefully decorated and furnished with all the usual amenities.
We have a veranda to enjoy the estuary views and sunsets. It has all modern conveniences: refrigerator, microwave, modern kitchen, shower, computer with broadband, flat panel TV, in lounge and bedroom, DVD recorder, Sky subscription, BBQ, good neighbours. Very comfortable with estuary views from every room.

Neighborhood

Our home is situated on the Uretara estuary 400 metres from the harbour. Our verandah looks out over the estuary to bushclad hills on the other side. To the left are the Kaimai mountain range where the sunsets are often spectacular.
There are several bush walks and tramps in the mountains of easy to medium grade and access by car takes 15 mins from our home.
There is safe boating and fishing in the harbour which gives approx 40 kms of tranquil water.
Enjoy walks along the river where wetlands entice all kinds of wading birds to congregate. Walk the whole track to Katikati (30 mins) for a coffee or hairdo.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area whilst not being too far away by car from delightful Katikati township (5 mins) Tauranga (30 mins) and Auckland (2 hours).
New Zealand people are very friendly and especially so in their small communities such as Katikati

About Us

We are a retired couple enjoying the fruits of our labours. My wife loves gardening whilst I, after a life as a business consultant, opt for travelling and my computer.
We both enjoy renovating our home and meeting new people.
