Descrizione

We live in a 10 year old house, close to the small town of Cahir, Co. Tipperary.
There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite. There are three single beds in the boys' room ( one fold away guest bed ) while in the other bedroom, there are two single beds.
Downstairs we have a kitchen/livingroom, TV room, office and utility room.
We have most mod cons...Microwave, Dishwasher, Washing machine, Dryer, TVs, DVD, stereo, playstation, etc. There is also zoned central heating.
The house also has a wireless broadband connection.
We have a large deck on the south side of the house, with a patio area and picnic table.
There is a large garden with plenty of opportunity for the children to play. There is a swing and slide for the smaller ones.
We have recently developed a vegetable patch and there is a small orchard with apple, pear and plum trees and a few fruit bushes.

Quartiere

We live 1.5 km from the village of Grange ( it is a very small rural area, with one shop, a junior school and a RC church. ) There is a sports field behind the school and organised activities are run there two evenings per week during the Summer. This is run by volunteers...there is a very strong sense of community in the area.
There are working farms all around, mainly dairy, some tillage.
Ardfinnan, a larger village, is 2 km away. There is a very pretty village green with a weir on the river...great for picnics. When the weather is good, there is normally a lifeguard there.
There are two major towns close by... Cahir 7km and Clonmel 10km.
Cahir has a beautiful ruined castle in the centre of the town while Clonmel is the busy local commercial centre. Cahir has a farmers' market every Saturday morning, where you will be guaranteed a great welcome, as Stella has a home baking stall there every week. Clonmel has good leisure facilities, swimming pools, indoor play area, tennis, golf, pitch & putt, race course..July also sees the 'Junction Arts Festival' taking place
The surrounding area is beautiful. There are three small mountain ranges close by and there are lots of opportunities for walking and outdoor activities. The mountain village of Lismore, with its famous castle, is picture perfect.
We are only 40km from the south coast and the tourist town of Dungarvan is very accessible. There is a great beach at Clonea with opportunities to surf & bodyboard.
We are also close to the iconic historic monument of The Rock of Cashel, the most visited tourist attraction in Ireland. The cities of Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork and Limerick are all just over 1 hour drive away.
There are lots of reasons to visit Ireland. Here in Tipperary, we are blessed to be close to everything that rural Ireland can offer....beautiful scenery, lots of activities, vibrant cultural life and, most importantly, great neighbours.

Chi siamo

Tom (43 ) is a secondary school teacher. He works in Clonmel, where he teaches English Maths and Religious Studies. His major hobby is music and plays the guitar. He is very interested in traditional Irish music but he also writes songs. He is a keen Munster rugby fan
Stella is a catering manager by profession but, for the past number of years has stayed at home to look after the children. She likes reading, travel and is very keen on pottery. She also runs a home baking stall at the local farmers' market once a week.
Tadhg (9)_ loves reading, soccer, swimming & pasta !
Eoin (7) loves reading, telling jokes, swimming, dinosaurs & football.
Clodagh (4) loves pink !

We have two independent outdoor working cats (Punk & Dill), while we also have some goldfish.
