Maison

This is a 4 bedroom, 2 baths and a very large living room apartment on a first floor of a 6 story secure building on a clean, quiet but central street. 1 minute to the train and bus stops, very gren area, close (10 min walk) to lake front and the Northwetern campus. Downtown Chicago is 30 minutes by car and offers alot to do for adults and kids - parks, zoo, museums, music, theatre, architecture, lots of free activities during the summer (Chicago blues and jazz festivals are free!) You can walk to the beach on Lake Michigan, shops, restaurants, movie theatre etc. in 10-20 min from the apartment. There are many playgrounds nearby, and a very good gelato place around the corner.

We are a family of 3, with a 5 year old boy. My husband teaches at the NW university and I work in research. We travel a lot. Sometimes our grown-up children join us, they are 21 and 19. We will make sure to treat your home with respect and hope you will enjoy Chicago - it is a really great place to live, or at least visit.

Destination

The dates are flexible - we are leaving for a sabbatical in June for about 14 months. Our first stom is Nice for a month in June 2009. Then we may go to Israel until April, and lastly to Japan April - June 2010.
