Beautiful, contemporary, two year old waterfront home with swimming pool. We are close to pristine white sand beaches, a world-class golf course, local shopping and restaurants. The house is light with an open-plan design incorporating a granite/stainless steel kitchen, living area, indoor/outdoor dining areas plus a terrace overlooking the pool and lake. There are 3 bedrooms with separate fully equipped office, 2 bathrooms with spa bath, a double garage and air-conditioning.

Twin Waters is on the Sunshine Coast, only 10 minutes drive to Mooloolaba and Maroochydore, 25 minutes to Noosa and 1 hour to Brisbane. This award-winning area has been voted “The World’s Best Residential Address” by the French based ‘International Real Estate Federation' and is a perfect location to experience so many holiday options.

Just a few minutes walk from our home is the Twin Waters Golf course, an eighteen hole championship course, listed in the top 50 Australian golf courses. Dozens of wild kangaroos can be seen grazing on the course at the end of the day. We are close to pristine Mudjimba beach, a stunning strip of white sand stretching 8 kilometres from the Maroochy River to the Hyatt Coolum Beach Resort, home of the Australian PGA Golf Championships. The internationally acclaimed town of Noosa is a little further north.

The Sunshine Coast has endless restaurant choices, excellent shopping - including the markets of Eumundi and the craft stores of the mountain villages - fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, sailing and other sporting facilities.

A 30 minute drive will take you to the hinterland where the Blackall Range provides some of the most dramatic terrain in Queensland and there are spectacular views of mountains, valleys and rainforests to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east.

World Heritage Fraser Island, two hours north, is magnificent with endless golden beaches, towering hardwood forests; barren heathland, pristine rainforests, crystal clear lakes all of which can be explored by 4 wheel drive tours.

We are a "mature" couple, originally from England, semi-retired (she is, he isn't!) who love to travel. Having swapped homes on 34 occasions (in the US, Europe, South Africa, NZ and within Australia) we now consider ourselves quite experienced exchangers. The concept has brought us many new friends and opportunities to explore some wonderful places; often far away from the usual tourist haunts.

We welcome exchange offers from throughout the world and are always interested in shorter/weekend swaps within Australia. We are happiest in warm climates. Non-simultaneous exchanges are possible. Unfortunately our home is not suitable for children.

We love pets and have cared for many in our exchange homes. We have one cat of our own who would prefer to stay at home when we are swapping homes. However, our neighbours would be happy to assist with her care if necessary.


Destination

In 2010 we would like to return to Europe during the warmer months. However, we will consider all exchange offers worldwide. Non-simultaneous exchanges are possible. Our house is available for non-simultaneous exchange in early November.
