Descrizione

Our apartment is in a charming 19th-century building with views over the rooftops of the surrounding area. It is light and airy, and because we love to have guests we have designed the space so that we can sleep up to eight people in comfort (although it is actually ideal for two couples travelling together or for a family with two to four kids). Our location is perfect for getting to know Munich and is also extremely handy if you want to use Munich as a base for exploring the surrounding mountains and lakes. The apartment might be of special interest to music lovers, as we have a piano.

Quartiere

We live in the part of Munich called Neuhausen, a charming mixture of residences and shops, and not far from Schloss Nymphenburg, one of Munich's loveliest attractions. Munich has plenty of beautiful architecture, world-class museums and opera, plus delicious Bavarian cuisine. It is one of Europe's safest and most attractive cities.

Our apartment is very close to public transportation and just two stops away from the central train station, from where you can easily travel to the Alps, the Bavarian lakes, Salzburg, Vienna, Switzerland - or even Italy.

Chi siamo

We are: Annie, a divorcée and Felix, her 14-year-old son. Annie is originally from the US but has lived in Europe almost half of her life, and Felix, born in London, has grown up in Munich. We are primarily interested in house exchange opportunities during the Bavarian school holidays so that we can visit our family in the States or explore the major cities of Europe.

Destinazione

We are interested in destinations within Europe for about a week sometime in August or September 2010. It is essential that the home is close to public transportation.
