Descrizione

The flat is situated in the house built in 19th century at the suburb of Banska Stiavnica. There are five flats in the house and they are used only as a weekend flats. Our neighbors are from France, Netherlands and Czech Republic.
There is a forest around in which is the shortcut leading to the centre (Trojicne namestie).
By foot it takes no more than 13 minutes.

Tha flat itself consists of a spacious hallway, dining-room, kitchen, and a living-room with sleeping part, bathroom with WC and a terrace.
The flat has been recently reconstructed and refurbished. There is a heightened place in the living room which offers a sleeping space, sleeps two and a fold-out couch, sleeps two as well.

We use wood for heating in the stove and there are electric heaters as well.
The kitchen has all mod-cons.


Quartiere

BANSKA STIAVNICA (population 10,900) is one of the most beautiful and in historical terms one of the most interesting towns in Slovakia. BANSKA STIAVNICA lies amid the forests of the Stiavnické vrchy and is included into the List of the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

In the surrounding area of the flat are lakes good for swimming in the summer and ice-skating in the winter. In 10km distance from the flat there are 2 spas. The area offers many possibilities for hiking. During the summer months the town hosts many cultural events such as film festivals, music festivals (jazz and classical) and other folklore events.

Chi siamo

We are a married couple, Igor (45) and Madla (44) with three adult children, all studying at universities.
Banska Stavnica is a place of our second home, otherwise we live in Nitra, where we own one of the first bookshops in Slovakia esteblished after the revolution in 1989. (www.podvrskom.sk)

We like traveling to the places that are not crowded with tourists. We enjoy discovering the country and its citizens. We like northern and also southern countries.
Until now we've had no experience with home exchange and we are looking forward to the first contacts.

Destinazione

We are flexible about the dates, not between September and December though.
We are open to non-simultaneous exchanges as the flat we are offering is are second home.
