Description

Maison ancestrale (circa 1852-1912), entièrement rénovée dans les années 1990. La maison est spatieuse et peut facilement accueillir deux couples (une chambre avec lit king et une autre avec lit queen). Une troisième petite chambre peut accueillir un troisième couple (lit double). Il y a également une chambre avec lit de bébé. Salle de bain complète à l'étage, salle de bains avec douche au rez-de-chaussée. La maison a conservé son charme d'antan et sa chaleur.

House built around 1852-1912, entirely renovated in the 90s. Lots of space - the main bedroom has a king size bed, the second room has a queen size bed. Another small bedroom with double bed. Also, a baby bedroom. Kitchen with lots of space. Two bathroom (one with a bath, the other with a shower). Very warm house.

Neighborhood

Nous vivons à Aylmer, qui se trouve à 20 minutes d'Ottawa. Notre maison est située dans le Vieux-Aylmer. Il y a un café, une boulangerie, une marina, des restaurants, un pub et un petit supermaché à distance de marche. Autobus facilement accessibles (ou notre voiture!). Profitez également de la piste cyclable qui longe la rivière et dont l'accès se trouve à deux pas de la maison. La piste mène jusqu'au centre-ville d'Ottawa. Dans le parc de la Gatineau : ski, randonnée, raquette, baignade, camping - selon la saison! À Ottawa : musées, shopping, patin sur le canal rideau (la plus longue patinoire du monde), vélo, etc.

Visitez également Montréal (2 heures de route), Toronto (5 heures), New York, etc.

Our house is located at 20 minutes drive from Ottawa. Within a few minutes walking, you'll find : a bakery, supermarket, marina, café, pub and restaurants. Easy access to buses (we also have a car you could use). We are very close to the Gatineau Park (hiking, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, camping, depending on the season!).

In Ottawa:
In summer - Ride a bike - Canada's Capital is very well-known for its bike paths
In winter, skate over the Rideau Canal, the world’s largest skating rink
Visit the Parliament Hill and some of the numerous museums

In Hull-Aylmer, enjoy summer or winter in the Gatineau Park!
The Gatineau Park has 185 km of trails groomed for cross-country skiing.
In summer: enjoy swimming and hiking!

- Wakefield, a charming and typical village (30 minutes drive)
- Montreal – Quebec’s Metropole (2 hours drive)
- Quebec City – the oldest French Speaking city of North America (5 hours drive)

About Us

Nous avons fait notre premier échange de maison l'été dernier et nous avons été ravis!

Nous sommes une famille de quatre. Lui est technicien en informatique et propriétaire d'un resto végétarien. Elle est traductrice pour le gouvernement fédéral. Viggo et Lilou jouent à temps plein.

Nous pouvons communiquer avec vous en français ou en anglais. Un petit peu en espagnol aussi peut-être!

Our Family :

We have two young kids (1 and 3 years old).

Daddy owns a vegetarian restaurant and does troubleshooting. Mommy works as a translator for the federal government.
