Descrizione

My husband and me live with our two boys (8 and 6 years) in a house which we bought 4 years ago. It was built in 1938 - so it is a charming old house and has been completely renovated. We live in the second floor and our appartment has 1 double bedroom und 2 single bedrooms. Our kitchen is fully equiped. The washing machine is in the cellar. And of course we have TV, DVD and Internet via WLAN. Our living room has a fire place and we also have an nice place outside for BBQ or just relaxing. In additional you can chose between 3 balconies. The house is located just at the forest and so it is ideal for children. On the other hand you will find Wiesbadens theatre, museums, shops and sport opportunities no more than 2 km away. Frankfurt is not far and also our beautiful wine area from Eltville/Rüdesheim up to Koblenz. Just follow the Rhine by car or go by hiking. We also provide 2 bicycles and 2 small ones for children.

Quartiere

We do enjoy our neighbourhood with the couple who lives on the first floor of our house. They are straightforward and helpful. It is a very calm area with sqirrels and birds. Within a short walk you get to a bus station. The bus brings you in a few minutes into the shopping area, spa room and spa park. In case you like to walk you'll reach it all in half an hour. On top it is a very nice walk through the park. Wiesbaden and the surroundings offers everything you can think of. Also for children. The Upper Middle Rhine Valley is one of many Unesco's World Heritage we have in Germany (www.unesco-welterbe.de). Heidelberg is just one hour away by car. It is a very old and nice town. You can go on a boat trip on the Rhine or join the nightlife of Frankfurt. We also have a climbing park where you can go by bike (1/2 hour) or on foot. It is located on Wiesbadens Neroberg which gives you also a nice view over the town (www.kletterwald-neroberg.de).

Chi siamo

We are generally interested in travelling. But the last 3 years we have hardly gone on holiday because of our house. There was a lot to be done und we still have more plans and ideas. But now we and our house are ready for home exchange therefore it is our first try. My sister and here familiy are kind of professional in house changing and my parents have started last year. Our son Jonas started to go to school in 2008 so our holidays have to fit in the school holidays. Our little son Timo still goes to the kindergarten. My husband Achim works in Rüsselsheim for GM and I work every now and than in an office but the main time I stay at home organizing family live. We love to go out for a good walk or for a bike ride. We really love our home and be sure that we treat yours with the same respect. We both speak english and of course german.

Destinazione

For Easter we are looking for an exchange close to a major City. Berlin would be nice. We would travel without our to boys because they are on holiday with their grandparents.

For our long term holidays in summer 2010 we would prefer an exchange in Europe where our two boys are able to play outside. But the next big town shouldn't be to far. But generally spoken we are open minded. We love the sea, major cities, the mountains and also little villages with a nice flair.
