Description

Our apartment complex is fairly old, but the inside of our apartment is kept nice and clean. It is very cozy with one bedroom and a living room/dining room area and one nice sized bathroom. We have cooking supplies, refrigerator, eating utensils and a very nice Thai restaurant that will deliver right to your room. Our apartment is very plane and simple, but is perfect for two people or more if you don’t mind sleeping on a couch. Not many people speak English but we have made several Thai friends that are always downstairs who speak fairly good English. It is a great experience for the adventurous sort who wants a real cultural experience. There are also several laundry services to use during your visit which make packing easier.

Neighborhood

We also have a motorcycle that is nice for getting around the immediate area and a short walk to the “river taxi,” which is a must when experiencing Thailand. And of course the regular taxis are not hard to come by either. We live around 20-60 minutes (depending on traffic and form of transportation) from the city center, Siam where there is all sorts of shopping. We also live around 20 minutes from the well known JJ weekend market, which everyone should be sure to experience. You can get some amazing deals there and buy whatever you are looking for, or stumble upon and desire to have. We are also very close to several smaller malls, food stores and movie theaters. There is plenty to do in the nearby area, but if you feel like venturing out to some beautiful Islands for the weekend or a couple of days, transportation by train, bus or flying is extremely cheap and the travel agents can normally get you a great deal, depending on what time of year it is.

About Us

We are a young couple from America who are working at a local International school down the road from where we live. We have already taught one year here and are working on our second year here in Thailand. We love the Thai people, their food and just the wonderful uniqueness of Thailand. We love to travel and experience different cultures and people groups. We live a very simple life, with very few belongings and love it that way. We are very fun and easy going!

Destination

Currently we are looking into spending the 20th of Dec.- Jan 1st in Dublin, Ireland and then visiting a friend in Norway until the 10th of Jan. We are teachers and have a Christmas break so we are looking to fill it. But if we can't stay in Ireland and could find as cheap, or cheaper tickets somewhere else for the 20th of Dec.- Jan 1st, we would be interested. Thanks!
