Description

Our eco-flat has 1 bedroom with double bed, a sofa bed that sleeps two, an office with internet and phone, a bathroom with bathtub and shower, 3 balconies, washing machine, a communal roof terrace and an open kitchen to the living room. It is 5 minutes from Las Ramblas in the Gothic area in a quite street. 2 bikes are available to go to the beach (15min) or other places.

We would like to swap for max. 3 months with someone from New York City, between May 1st and September 15th 2009 (dates are flexible).

Neighborhood

The neighbourhood is the Gothic area of Barcelona. It is a busy city centre, although our street is pedestrian and has no noisy bars (all residencial). 2 streets further there are lots of shops though, sight seeing, restaurants, bars, grocery stores. Great public transport connections. 5 minutes walking from the port, 20 minutes from the beach.

About Us

We are a young couple, 28 and 30 years old, who want to enjoy NYC for a while. We are an eco designer and a structural engineer who love to travel. We ahve both been living for almost 4 years in Barcelona and really enjoy it.

Petz, female, is from Luxembourg and speaks luxembourgish, english, spanish, german, french and some catalan. She works from home as a freelance eco designer and is passionate about anything green and innovative. The flat she wants to swap is one of her projects. Her new excitment is Pecha Kucha. She also likes to read, cook, go out and watch movies.

Sergio, male is from Spain and speaks Spanish, English and Catalan. He works in a company specialised in designing bridges as a structural designer. He loves everything structural and beautiful, and a great time eco-renovating the apartment with Petz. Sergio likes swimming, music and his bike.

New York City! (Manhatten, Brooklyn, Williamsbourg, ...)
We would love to stay 3 months but we can swap with various people for less time. The dates are flexible between May 1st and Sep 15th 2009.
