The Valley of the Moon surrounds our very comfortable home with views from all the living areas including the terrace overlooking the golf course (36 holes)and the surrounding mountains. A ranch style wine country home, 2 Bdrm, den. Redone in 05 in good taste. We are 20 minutes to the charming town of Sonoma, and 20 to Santa Rosa, a suburban city. The area enjoys hundreds of wineries( some are walking distance), great restaraunts, from bistros to 4 star, good theatre, live performances from great classical to country. Art galleries, fun shopping. Our private community enjoys three pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, bocce ball, lawn bowling and more. We are surrounded by state and regional parks, and enjoy miles of hiking. Bodega Bay is one hr as is San Francisco, Healdsburg, and all drives are breathtakingly beautiful. We can offer a car exchange. I love to cook and entertain and the house is equipped accordingly.Granite and stainless kitchen. Master bdrm has queen bed, full size in guest room, and extremely comfortable queen sofa bed in den. Children welcome, however Oakmont is a retirement community. We are on the executive course, one of two lovely 18 hole courses. Fees are reasonable. We can leave our clubs. Our other exchange guests have been too busy to enjoy golf. There is so much to see and do, one could stay busy for a month on just day trips. There is of course all that Northern California offers if given the time. The rocky coast with stunning beaches take years to explore. The west coast line is totally accessible and driveable. Some quaint towns, but not many; a totally different experience than the east coast offers. Napa county is just across the mountain, one of those we view. We are 1 mile to the village of Kenwood, and five to Glen Ellen, Jack London's old stomping grounds.

We are a retired professional couple. Jay a lawyer and Randy a businesss woman. We are experienced exchangers.

Destination

Does not have to be simultaneous. We have relatives in Orlando Florida and visit there two or three times a year. We are experienced exchangers and enjoy the world. New England, the Berkshires, are of interest, Do not tolerate higher temperatures, so we are limited. We like non car areas if possible. Dartmouth England appeals to us or something like that. Send us what you have. We are very flexible. We also have access to a tiny but charming cottage in Santa Barbara CA., that we could offer. It is 400 miles south.
