Description

We live in a two double bedroom apartment in the north of the city centre of Glasgow. We are on the top floor of a lovely old converted warehouse that is situated on the Forth and Clyde canal. There are organised boat trips from outside the front door and the apartment offers a beautiful view of Glasgow's skyline.

Additionally, the building has a shared heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym for it's residents. We have lift access and parking available. We do offer the use of our car, but it is quite old and not ideal for long drives. It is recommended that a car should be hired if you plan to explore Scotland, but public transport services are excellent. We have wireless internet in the flat, but you will need to bring your own laptop. Pets are not welcome unfortunately, but we would kindly ask you to feed our goldfish!

Our apartment offers a fantastic base to explore Scotland's cities and countryside. It is an excellent destination for families and couples looking for an action filled holiday.

Neighborhood

Our apartment is close to the city centre, but the canal offers a quite and picturesque setting. We are in walking distance of many Glasgow attractions, but are five minutes from the subway station and Glasgow Queen Street station. There are regular trains to Edinburgh (45mins), Stirling (25 minutes) and other Scottish destinations. The apartment is also located close to the motorway, connecting you to the beautiful Scottish countryside. Loch Lomond and the West of Scotland coastline are just over an hour's drive.

The residents are mainly young professions and we have two full time porters based in the leisure centre who can help with any problems.

About Us

We are a young Scottish couple who enjoy sports, art and culture. Ian (25) works for a Glasgow Solicitor and Sarah (26) runs her own fitness business, but is returning to University in September. Sarah is also an artist and enjoys painting and drawing cityscapes.

We are both very active sociable people who have many friends and family in the city. We enjoy eating out and experiencing different cuisines and cultures. Our holiday last year was in the Cote D'Azure where we had a fantastic time discovering the history and culture of the cities and towns in the area.

Destination

We really only have between September 7th and 21st before the University term starts. We are flexible with a non-simultaneous exchange though.

We are looking for a city break with plenty to do and see.
