Description

A lovely little terrace house (113sqm) in one of Beijing's traditional hutong neighbourhoods. Located between 2 subway stops, and walking distance to the Lama and Confucious temples. All the modern conveniences (satellite tv, broadband internet, gas grill, a/c, housekeeper) in the midst of old Beijing. 2 bedrooms upstairs with full bath; living, kitchen, dining room and toilet downstairs. Living room has a skylight so its always bright and airy. Great restaurants, shopping, sightseeing all close by. Can arrange driver for Great Wall and other sights further afield. Just 2 miles from the Olympic Village.

Neighborhood

The neighbourhood is real old Beijing - you can wander through the hutongs for hours - buying fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and noodles from street vendors, practising your Chinese with the Grannies pushing old wooden strollers or taking photo after photo of the traditional doorways and courtyard entrances. When that becomes tiring, you can rest in one of the traditional teahouses, a funky little coffee shop or a western-run cafe with a great winelist. Its all right on your doorstep.

About Us

I am a teacher and mother of a 9yr old daughter, originally from Canada. We love our home and life in Beijing, but also want to see many other places. My holidays aren't flexible but they are certainly generous. We do have a dog, who will be away during your stay, but important to know if allergies might be an issue.
