Description

Our apartment has three storeys (240m2). On the top floor we have a terrace, a bar and a small pool with a very nice view of the mountains and the Christ, the middle floor has a living room and dining area, kitchen, laundry and office. The third floor has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a nice bath tub with a view to the mountains and a double bed, the second is my son's room and has two single beds. My daughter’s room has also two single beds. The kid rooms are full of toys, games, etc. The apartment is child proofed, with protection nets in every window. We have Wi-Fi Internet Connection and a computer available for guest to use in my sons room. We also have air conditioning in every single room. Our apartment is also very easy to clean and maintain (ideal for vacation). Kitchen is fully equipped.

Neighborhood

We are in a very central location in Rio. Basically every tourist attraction is about 10 minutes from our apartment. Looking towards the end of our street you will see the Sugar Loaf. It is a quiet residential area, the apartment complex is very safe, we have 24 security and our neighbors are mostly families. The area is central, but surrounded by a nice green mountain (no shantytowns around), where we sometimes can see little monkeys. My kids loved to bring bananas to them at the playground. There is a larger pool, a sauna, a small gym and a kid’s playground in the first floor of the apartment building. The subway is two blocks from our street; there are bakeries, pharmacies, supermarkets and a large shopping mall within a couple of blocks. There is also a 24 hour taxi stop right in front of the apartment. Quiet location, but convenient for night life.

About Us

We are a family of four. My husband and I are in our 40s, he is a TV Sports Journalist and I am a Freelance Translator. We have two children, a boy who is 12 and loves surfing, soccer and games and 5 year old girl who enjoys drawing and music. My husband and I always loved travelling and now we enjoy it even more to show the world to our kids. The kids are well behaved and used to travelling, both travel since they were babies. My husband and I speak English, French, Portuguese and some Spanish

Destination

Dates are flexible for a week or so. Longer exchange will have to match school holidays in Brazil: July, December, January. We also have a week off during Carnival (February) if anyone is interested.
