Description

The renovation of this home was filmed by the US award winning PBS show, This Old House. This is a vacation rental and is not occupied by the owners so is available for exchange any time of the year depending on availability.

The property features Drexel Heritage furniture, Kohler fixtures including infinity jacuzzi, Kitchen aid appliances, private courtyard with swimspa, hot tub and private verandah view of the harbour.

This Old House Features:

4 bedroom home with with master bedroom with king four poster bed, home spa with Kohler sok tub, steam shower and master shower tower, second bedroom with queen bedroom and bathroom, 3rd guest bedroom with queen murphy bed, and 4 bedroom lock off studio with kitchenette.

Other common rooms include a living room,gourmet kitchen with Kitchen aid stainless steel appliances including 2 stoves, built in fridge, dishwasher, dining room, Mexican courtyard with outdoor dining, 2 fountains, swimspa and hot tub, and decks with views of St Georges Harbor. Sleeps 7 to 8.

Neighborhood

The verandah overlooks the 400 year old town of St George's, a World Heritage site, and its harbour. St Georges is located on the eastern end of the island. It is where the English first landed and represents the oldest colonial town on the island.

Quaint alleyways and lanes guide you in less than 5 minutes to all of its attractions. You will be enchanted by the old world charm. Choose from half a dozen restaurants and pubs,
shopping, museums and historic sites, tennis, the harbour, scuba diving, jet skiing, sailing, canoe or kayak, glass bottom boat or boat tours, or a ferry boat ride to the other end.

Minutes from your door, 4 beaches, golf, more forts and the beginnings of great walks on railway trails await you. You can walk to a Terence Trent Jones golf course which has views of the entire island.

You can get around by renting scooters, bicycles, bus, ferry, and taxi. There is plenty to do in St Georges, so you can spend a lot of time just walking around in the towne.





About Us

We are a family of 4, which includes 2 well mannered boys age 6 & 9. We are in the property management business (we own 2 vacation rentals, and an inn), so are very conscientous when staying in other's properties.

We are moving to the UK and need to exchange our property while we have look for more permanent space. We are look to exchange for May 2008.

We also have a place in Santa Fe NM, 3 bedrooms with indoor pool and a hot tub.

We are also open to exchanges in the future in Europe (Amsterdam, Spain, France and Morocco).

Destination

This exchange can be non-simultaneous as we have 2 vacation properties, one in Bermuda and the other in Santa Fe, NM.

For our May 2008 exchange we need to be in London preferably in the Camden Authoriy (Belsize Park, Kentish Town, Hampstead, Camden, Primrose Hill etc.) Westiminster, Chelsea Knightsbridge or other N locations like Islington or close to Camden area would be acceptable.
