Description

Our house was built in 2003. It's a warm, contemporary, clean, uncluttered, family home. Great for entertaining and sitting on the patio overlooking sunny California. There are 3 bedrooms and a guest bedroom. The Master bedroom has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 twin beds. Bedroom 3 has one twin bed. The guest bedroom has two twin beds and a HD tv with DVD player with a private deck. All rooms have great views of the San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Mountains to the north. The Kitchen is a cook's dream, fully equipped. There are 3 full and 1 half baths. Our house is fully equipped with state of the art finishes, satellite TV's, wi-fi computers, play station, wii, washer/dryer. The house is great for allergy sufferers; terrazzo and hard-wood floors throughout. Extremely low dust factor. House cleaning services available.

Neighborhood

Our house sits on 1 and 1/3d acres in the hills of Sherman Oaks, a very quiet, suburban area with custom homes and natural landscapes, overlooking the San Fernando Valley. We are located 1.3 miles south of Ventura Blvd. (which is the main shopping/restaurant street in the Valley. Excellent moderate priced restaurants span in both directions. The house is situated between Coldwater Cyn. (8 miles to Beverly Hills) and Beverly Glen Cyn. (8 miles to UCLA/ West LA). There is public transportation along Ventura Blvd. It's 5 miles along Ventura Blvd. to Universal Studios and the start of the metro from there its a short hop to Hollywood. It's 18 miles to Santa Monica Beach.
The road above our house is closed to vehicles and provides a lovely walk up the canyon to Mulholland Drive.

About Us

We are a well travelled family of four; older parents of two boys 12 and 7 years old. We've rented many houses along our travels, but are just getting involved with house exchanging. I'm a stay at home mom (former commercial architectural designer who loves to cook), my husband is a lawyer (who loves to eat, drink wine and garden). We love to travel and the idea of house swapping appeals to us to help offset the housing cost.
