Description

Ground-floor, corner unit with central heat/air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room (including the lanai), tile in main living area and carpeted bedrooms. The master suite has a king-sized bed, lots of storage (two closets with mirrored, sliding doors, wood dresser with four drawers), wood desk w/hutch, cable TV/DVD, Built-in ironing board w/iron, Alarm clock/radio. The private, full master bath has a large, tiled shower and marble countertop. The second bedroom has a full-sized murphy bed, closet w/sliding mirrored doors and desk w/hutch. The second bathroom has a pedestal sink and tub/shower. The main living area is an open floor plan with full kitchen (tons of cookware and serviceware); dining room table seats four; living room has a futon which converts into a queen-sized bed, rattan bookcase/display and entertainment center w/cable TV/DVD. The living room opens to a private 20ft x 20ft garden and screened lanai through a 12-foot wide window/door. Our small, gated community has a swimming pool w/shower, large deck/garden area with umbrella tables, lounge chairs, two outdoor grills and a club house. We have lots of board games, beach and pool floats/toys/games as well as a beach umbrella and two beach chairs for your use.

Neighborhood

We are located in a quiet, residential neighborhood on the peninsula of South Tampa. There are two major shopping malls (Westshore Plaza and International Mall) 5 and 10 minutes away. The interstate is 5 minutes, Tampa International Airport-15 minutes, white sand beaches-30 to 45 minutes (over scenic Tampa Bay), and lots of museums, restaurants, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, The Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry), Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Historic Ybor City...Disney and Seaworld are a one-hour drive.

About Us

We are Rick and Sharon, a married couple in our mid 50's, with one married daughter and two granddaughters. Rick is an executive with an international company and Sharon is a registered nurse. We love to travel and explore new environments. We are expecially interested in exchange for Edinburgh or Glasgow, Scotland during summer 2009 - we are very flexible.

Destination

We are extremely flexible as this can be a non-simultaneous exchange. We are currently looking for an exchange in Ireland and Edinburgh or Glasgow, Scotland for summer 2009. We are open to all exchanges.
