Recently restored country cottage with large garden, and lovely views of the Boyne Valley.We have 4 bedrooms,2 W.C. ,one with bath and electric shower,fully fitted kitchen,a large breakfast room overlooking the garden,living room,and utility room with washer and dryer.Oil fired central heating and a stove,satellite T.V.,Playstation,C.D. players,garden furniture,barbeque,etc.

Neighborhood

We live in a peaceful country area which is famous for its history and archaeology.Nearby is Newgrange Passage Grave as well as other stone age monuments at Dowth and Knowth.Our house is situated on the site of the Battle of The Boyne and is a protected building.There are 3 excellent golf courses nearby,as well as salmon, brown trout,and sea-trout fishing in the river Boyne(about 2km away),and there are miles of quiet sandy beaches to enjoy(about 8 km away).There are plenty of walks to enjoy in the area either along the river or through the fields and woods near the house.We are 1 hour from Dublin and 30 minutes from Dublin airport.We are 5 km from the town of Drogheda which has plenty of shops,pubs,cafés and restaurants.Also in the town is a theatre, a cinema, an art gallery, a leisure centre with a pool and bowling alley.

About Us

We are a family of five. Denise and I (Brian) are both in our forties and are art teachers in secondary schools. Our eldest daughter,Síofra, is 13. Oisín, our son, is 10 and Eve our youngest daughter is 6. We enjoy plenty of activities locally, tennis, golf, fishing, gardening and swimming. We love living here but also enjoy the prospect of seeing new places!
