Neighborhood

We live in County Down in a beautiful part of Northern Ireland adjoining the beach and a large Country Park but are only a few kilometers from Belfast and its great shops,restaurants and nightlife. Our apartment buiding is very private, quiet and secure with access to it via electric gates.
The views and walks are fantastic with a winding coastal path on our doorway. It's a 45 minute walk to our nearest town Bangor(10 minutes by car), via the coastal path, where there are good restaurants and shops . We have a great train service into Belfast and other parts of Ireland from our local station, which is a 5 minute car journey away or a 20 minute walk. The City Airport serving most of the UK and Europe is 15 minutes by car and the International Airport is only 40 minutes away.
Our neighbours are very helpful and will no doubt make you very welcome. Our local village is a 10 minute walk away and here you will find a shop and a pub.

About Us

I'm originally from N.Ireland and I met my wife, who is from South Australia, whilst working in the UK. We have no children.
We sold our business some 10 years ago and after some travelling and house renovations, we settled down here 3 years ago. I still do some book keeping work for a couple of small companies and Sue does voluntary work
We spend some time most years in Adelaide with Sue's family and we have built up a circle of friends in SA and Vic over the years. We have done some 'house sitting' in SA in the past. Whilst it's great living with family and friends it's also nice to have somewhere you can call 'home' if only for a few months of the year, hence the hunt for a house swap.

Destination

Dates are flexible but we intend visiting South Australia in September 2009 and intend to stay until January 2010
