Description

Our home is just over 4 years old and open concept, total of about 2000 sq ft. Our family room is located in the fully developed lower level where we watch TV and enjoy the gas fireplace. High speed internet is available in the den (with TV) on the main level. Master bedroom is on main level and the other 2 are on the lower level. Enclosed back yard with BBQ and deck. Single car garage.

Neighborhood

We are within walking distance to most stores. Our neighbours are great and very helpful. Even will use his snowblower to clear our driveway. There is no public transportation, only taxi service, so a car is necessary. Our town is about 30-40 minutes from the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. Numerous museums such as the new War Museum, IMAX, Aviation Museum, Museum of Nature, etc. The Senators, NHL hockey team, are 20 minutes away. The Trans Canada Trail goes thru our town. Great shopping available, all name brands! Montreal is 2 and !/2 hours east. Toronto is 4 and 1/2 hours west and Niagara Falls is about 6 hours west. Upper Canada Village (historical village) is just over one hour south. Winterlude is held during the first 3 weekends in February offers skating on the longest canal, a new World Heritage site, entertainment acts perform every weekend, and of course you must try Ottawa's famous Beavertails, pure decadence!! Our town has a pool and ice skating. Nearest skiing is about 45 minutes in Pakenham. Other skiing facilities are available. Numerous golf courses close by.

About Us

We are both retired. We enjoy travelling and exploring new places. We have 4 adult children and 4 grandkids. We would like to golf in February 2009 in southern Texas, near Houston, Corpus Christi, and Brownsville or towns near these 3 locations.

Destination

We would prefer simultaneous exchange but know full well that not everyone is intested in visiting Canada in January/February and yes we will consider doing a non-simultaneous exchange.
