Description

Beautiful flat in the center of Lyon: fully furnished, kitchen and bathroom, balcony. Close to everything! There is one bedroom for two people, a sofa in the living room, a table + 4 chairs, TV & Internet (wireless and Ethernet).

There are many shops (bakeries, butcher and tobacco stores, supermarkets, bars…) around the apartment;
Metros and buses leading you wherever you want in the city(5 minutes walk from the apartment). 20 minutes bus to Saint Exupéry Airport. 5 minutes subway to Part Dieu station. Easy access to highways.

Neighborhood

The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and securized. Lyon is a wonderful city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. You can visit the city just using public transportation and wandering in the pedestrian streets.You can find lots of great restaurants all over the city.

We have theaters, museums and a lot of bars for those who care for a glass of wine or beer!

Half way between the sea and the mountains, with its ideal location between North and South Europe, the city attracts large numbers of visitors every year for both pleasure and business tourism: close to Italy, Switzerland, the Alps, 2 hours from Paris by train and only an hour and a half from Marseille.

Major attractions: the most ancient vestige of Roman urbanization, the Roman Theater, the Temple of Cybele and the Odeum ; the Basilica of Fourvière; the Croix-Rousse hill (high-ceilinged buildings); the Vieux-Lyon (Saint Jean, Saint Georges and Saint Paul quarters); the Presqu'île peninsula; the Renaissance streets and the monumental constructions of the classical era (Hôtel Dieu, City Hall, Museum of fine Arts ); the Tête d'Or Park, etc.

Lyon's cuisine reigns above all others. The local culinary specialties are plentiful and varied: pork products and "Cervelle de Canuts" soft cheese with herbs, "bugnes" beignets, fried pork fat, Lyonnais salad, "tablier de sapeur" tripes, "gras double" tripes, "petit salé" ham with lentils, "quenelles" dumplings (a mixture of butter, semolina and fish), black pudding, "andouillette" chitterling sausage, "paillasson" fried hashed potatoes, and more, if you're still hungry!

Lyon is bordered by the Beaujolais to the north, the Côteaux du Lyonnais vineyards to the west and the Côtes du Rhône to the south.

About Us

I am currently a consultant for an IS/IT company in Lyon. I am a professional woman, with good habits and a responsible attitude. I spent a year in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to finish my studies and I loved travelling around the country. I’m interested in going to the US, Canada or London this summer but i'm still open to other offers.

I want to meet people, discover new cultures and way of living ;)

Destination

I would love to travel to the US : California, NYC, Chicago, Florida...but also to Montreal or London, UK :))
The dates are flexible but only in August 2008. In Europe, I guess it would be for 7 days whereas for North America, it would be for 14 days.
